Lacquerware brings comfort with subtle colors to enrich your daily life!
Our shop was launched in 1902 as a specialized shop offering “Soba” (Japanese traditional buckwheat noodle) utensils for commercial use. Since then for more than 110 years, we have been embraced by many "Soba" vendors nationwide.
Today our shop mainly carries lacquerware for everyday use for everyday people. Lacquerware is used traditionally in the vast majority of Japanese families, but is quite versatile as an eating utensil kit and can be used to enhance the presentation in serving any kind of international cuisine.
You will find a wide range of unique utensils, including beautiful bowls, handy chopsticks, quaint teacups, steady trays and cool "Bento" lunchboxes. Not only is lacquerware highly appropriate for daily use but also as thoughtful gifts and souvenirs to brighten up any kitchen cabinet.
You may notice that your lacquerware changes in its colors and textures with regular usage and will likely get some scratches as it ages. As time goes by, these subtle transitions themselves are a distinctive mark of its natural raw materials. An appreciation for this flavor will be acquired as you build your collection of lacquerware.
Don’t just take our word for it, come over to our shop and have a look for yourself.
You will not be disappointed!
